EFL Learners’ Preferences and Emotions about Oral Corrective Feedback at Secondary Education in Turkey: Are There Gender and Grade-level Differences?

Oral corrective feedback has attracted the attention of EFL teachers and researchers in recent decades. The current study aims to investigate learners’ preferences emotions about oral with a specific focus on gender grade level at secondary education Turkey. Quantitative research methods were used reveal findings. 664 learners participated two different state high schools Ankara, Mann-Whitney U Kruskal-Wallis tests OCF school learners. It was revealed that more than half worried making mistakes classroom; however, majority agreed necessity receiving they had positive feelings for being given immediate by their teachers. Regardless level, higher preference ‘self-correction’. Females preferred ‘metalinguistic clues’ as first choice ‘peer correction’ last among types whereas males prefer first, but choice.
